When I sat down to right a review of match.com, I initially began to think about the quality of the people that join the site and the quality of the dates one would be likely to have. I soon realised that this is such a huge subject, that it could not be covered in this short review. So I decided that a review of match.com in my case would be a quick look at match.com philosophy and how easy it is to get into and on with the site. I have an affinity with the over 50s and can see when a site might trip them up – particularly as many over 50s are not as computer and internet savvy as they would like to be! Match have an unusual way of highlighting just how successful they are at matching couples. They tell you, right on their front page how many of their members leave AS COUPLES! I just love the logic they are using here. Once you’ve entered the above, you move on to submitting pictures of yourself and writing your profile. We’ve discovered that the better the profile, the bestter the quality of date you will get asked out on and not only ytthat, but the more trouble you take over your profile and getting it right, the more suitable will be the dates you get asked out on! And by the time we had finished completing our profile, we’d already been emailed a selection of over 20 “matches” that match.com felt would be of interest in the first instance. Several of these were local enough to arrange to meet over a lunchtime.
